Pentire are a band certainly worth keeping an eye on in this next generation of upcoming indie-rock acts looking to break into national and global stardom. Known for their anthemic hooks, heartfelt lyrics, and energetic live shows, they have already amassed a loyal following while drawing praise from across the UK’s tastemaker scene.
With over 10 million view across social media, 100k monthly Spotify listeners and backing within the industry from BBC Radio 1 future artists and Jack Saunders, Pentire are stepping into the most important and exciting part of the 'come up'.
And the band are back with a bang to kick off 2026, releasing their single "Boy in the machine" on January 28th. This sets up the Herefordshire four piece excellently for their UK tour next month, including their first ever show in Dublin, Ireland.
Boy in the machine adds a slightly different and exciting turn to the discography of Pentire, taking a more hard-rock approach than big hits such as "Love on TV" and "Get Up" we see a single that is very reminiscent of recent work by the Royston Club's Cariad project.
Big builds followed by stripped back bridges which are almost eerily quiet, before a guitar driven chorus which will undoubtedly be a crowd pleaser come March, filling rooms with excitement and emotion. Vocalist Jack Morgan explains, “The song is about feeling trapped, with a desire to break free from normality and create a path of your own.”
And that sentiment is definitely felt within Boy in the machine, a song which steers the band gently in a direction they perhaps haven't explored as much, but still recognizable as Pentire
